1. What this site does

APP PIXELS is a free catalogue of ESP32 firmware applications for the Waveshare ESP32-S3 AMOLED 1.8" device. You can browse, download, and flash these binaries to your own hardware, and submit your own apps for inclusion.

2. Your account

You must be at least 16 to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account.

3. Flashing firmware — risk

Flashing replaces the firmware on your device. Bricking, data loss, or other hardware damage is rare but possible. You flash at your own risk. We cannot recover a bricked device on your behalf.

4. Community submissions

By submitting an app you confirm that:

  • You own the source code, or have the right to publish it under the license declared in the repository.
  • You grant APP PIXELS permission to clone, compile, and distribute the resulting binary on this site.
  • Your submission does not contain malicious code, illegal content, or third-party material you do not have the right to redistribute.
  • Screenshots you upload are yours or are otherwise free of third-party rights.

We may reject any submission, remove a published app, or suspend an account at our discretion — especially in response to security concerns or content complaints.

5. Licensing

Each published app declares its own license in its source repository. Community apps are tagged #COMMUNITY and link to the source ref they were compiled from so you can verify and use them under that license.

6. Disclaimer of warranty

THE SITE AND ALL FIRMWARE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not warrant that the catalogue or the binaries are fit for any particular purpose, error-free, or free of harmful components.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or the firmware — including but not limited to bricked hardware, lost data, or service interruptions. Mandatory consumer-protection rights under Austrian law remain unaffected.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to abuse the service: no spamming submissions, no attempts to bypass rate limits or security, no use of the catalogue for purposes that could harm users or third parties.

9. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from /account. Deleting cascades to your pending and rejected submissions; published apps already approved remain on the site unless you separately request removal.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. When the version number changes, you will be asked to re-accept on next sign-in.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by Austrian law. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.
